trndmsk Podcast #31 – Bebetta

Podcast #31 - Bebetta

Born in Bremen, Bebetta started DJing in 2008 and was announced Tresor’s newcomer of the year in 2009. Ever since then she’s been touring the world from Frankfurt with her record collections. Her sound ranges from melodic House to driving Tech House. In 2011, Bebetta initiated her own Bremen event series with Heimlich and started working on her own productions. Her first release “Herr Kapellmeister” was released via Damm Records in May 2012. These days, the gifted musician compiled our 31st podcast– and is also eagerly waiting for trndmsk01.

trndmusik: What kind of atmosphere surrounded you while making the podcast?

Bebetta: I compiled the tracks in November when I spent my time on the warm couch with tea and headphones. It became increasingly dark and cold but I didn’t want that atmosphere to be part of the set.

How did you choose the tracks? Did you have a concept?

I always try to create a certain arc of suspense. Your podcast I wanted to keep nice and warm for the cold season. I had enough cold ears for now.

Do you have a favorite track in that mixtape?

Actually, all of them are my current favorites.

How are you going to spend Christmas and New Year’s Eve?

Christmas I will spend in my hometown Bremen. It’s good to see my family again but Christmas Eve is not very important to me. I will probably be at my “Heimlich” event series in the club for the handing out of presents arranging the decoration and equipment. I will perform in Hamburg (MS Stubnitz) and Berlin (Astra) on New Year’s Eve.

Any releases coming up?

I contributed one track to trndmsk01 which is about to be released in a couple of days. Also, I’ve got a lot of remixes ready.
