“For the next hour you can expect thirteen tracks that I consider worth hearing”, says kuprion about his contribution to our Future Stars series. “Usually, I listen to the newest releases and make a pre-selection of about twenty productions.” His set “Beauty Trip” was recorded in his home with two Technics 1210 and a Pioneer DJM 350. “There’s no such thing as an absolute favorite in the mix but I really like “Kaleidoscope” by Nils Frahm”, says the young artist. Also, he regularly plays Petwo Evans’ “x0x pt. 1”, “Twelve Fortresses” by Shlomi & AWB and Adam Marshall’s “House Shipping”.
Viel Zeit im Studio
Other than that, kuprion has some goals ahead: “But I don’t really force them. I’d like to play more regularly but not really pushing for gigs.” When it comes to producing, he likes to have his time in the studio to further improve his skills and productions: “At the moment there are no gigs in sight and I spend as much time as possible in the studio. I’m currently in contact with a small Berlin record label that contacted me on SoundCloud, maybe we can realise something there. Besides, I usually release one track per month, the next one being premiered by 8day Montreal on June 7th, 2018. You can find all released tracks on my website kuprion.net.”
