With his debut on Ritter Butzke StudioMarius Drescher proves once again that he is capable of delivering deep and melodic club hits for peak time use. A pushing stab sequence broken with a piercing synth line are the main elements that push the track forward and keep it intensely interesting. This high energy track is complemented with a smoother and melodic version by Marc DePulse who adds ethnic percussions and even more bitter sweet distortion to the main screaming synth sound.„Sektor” will be out on 9th of August.
trndmsk: What inspired you to produce the track?
Marius Drescher: It was a weekend in November when I played three gigs in two days – that was heavily exhausting but also very inspiring. I love this special mood.
Where did you record it? And how?
I recorded it in my little home studio in Berlin – very unspectacular. After the travelling weekend I mentioned above I was very inspired and motivated so it didn’t take long to write the main parts. I also arranged everything on the same day and made the final adjustments and mixdown the day after. I love it when a track naturally comes together so quick.
How did you get in contact with the record label?
My buddy Matthias (Schuell) is not only the A&R of Ritter Butzke Studio but also a very talented producer. He made a lovely remix of my track “Medusa” last winter and since then we always kept in touch. One day I sent him “Sektor” and he was like “whoo, I want this one on Ritter Butzke Studio!” – and here we go.
What’s up next after the release? Are you working on any other projects?
Of course, I’m always working on new music. Next up will be a remix for Exit Coda on Dear Deer Records in August and a special remix in September. There are also 3 or 4 EPs in the pipeline which are scheduled for winter.
